Goal: To expand the global platform for programs designed and developed to service the educational health and cultural needs of people of African descent throughout the world. All programmatic components of the facet are delivered through measurable and sustainable service delivery methods that reach women and their families.; Collaboration with other organizations in sponsoring international programs. and support ing international organizations on the local, national, and international levels.
Facet Highlights: Linking with Haiti - has been the facets service project since 2014. The facet developed women's survival kits - personal hygiene and daily living needs . Since then, the chapter has helped build a water well in Haiti. In 2014, the chapter began a partnership with Harbor City (CA) Chapter, who have an established relationship with an organization in Haiti. Harbor City travels to Haiti and delivers the personal hygiene kits.
The Claremont Area Chapter of The Links, Incorporated through its facet International Trends and Services celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8, 2020. This is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. It is also an opportunity to assess the progress of women worldwide in their struggle for equality, peace and development including assisting women in achieving their goals. The facet and chapter members will be attending a luncheon at Marie Callender’s Bakery and Restaurant in Afrocentric attire to discuss and share photographs of their international travels. There will be a discussion on their observation of the role of women in various countries.
On March 15, 2017, Link La Verne Matthews traveled to Haiti to support the Western Area's 2000 Boots On The Ground To Haiti Initiative. The Claremont Area (CA) Chapter donated money to build a well in Haiti. We also donated socks and underwear for the residents. The Claremont Chapter has collaborated with the Harbor City (CA) Chapter in their efforts to aid the people of Haiti for the last 4 years. Link La Verne joined the Harbor City (CA) Links on their visit this year.
The International Trends Facet working together to package bags of socks, underwear, feminine hygiene items, and toothpaste to send to Haiti.

The chapter presented Link La Verne with a plaque for being the chapter's Ambassador on the trip to Haiti.
